Pruning at heights

A pole pruner is best used for cutting live branches up to around 25 mm in diameter. It’s perfect for regular maintenance of fruit trees, ornamental shrubs and thinner branches at height. Thanks to the sharp blades and clean cut, the plant heals faster. A pole pruner is also lightweight and easy to handle, making it comfortable for extended use. A pole saw is the better choice when branches are too thick or hard to cut cleanly with a pruner — typically from 25 to 30 mm upwards. The aggressive teeth allow for fast and controlled sawing without tearing the bark. A telescopic pole saw is ideal for removing dead, thick or higher branches from trees and large shrubs. In short: pole pruner for thin live wood, pole saw for thick or dead wood.
